Clubs in

Have you ever wondered what the clubs are like in other European countries? Well we’ve selected a couple of popular clubbing destinations (not the most obvious ones) and we thought we’d tell you about them!

  • St. Tropez, France: St. Tropez has an unmatched party scene. Located along the French Riviera on the Mediterranean Sea, St. Tropez is full of gorgeous people. It is quite possible to drink at the same bar as a Hollywood actor or a popstar in clubs like Les Caves du Roy in the Hotel Byblos and Bodega de Papagayo. A note to all the guys out there, make sure you bring a lady (or three) with you when you go to St. Tropez so you can get into to the clubs. It is not cheap. It is not cheap. It is not cheap. But it is fun ;)
  • Budapest, Hungary: Budapest is not usually thought of in lists of the best places to party in Europe, but you’ll be really surprised with how much it has changed in the last few years! Budapest has changed a lot since the oppressive Communist regime. DJs from around the world now go to Budapest to play to the raw and hungry crowds. There is a great deal of history and personality in the clubs, take for example A38, a old Ukrainian stone-carrying ship that has been refurbished and permanently moored in the Danube. Sorry girls, but the men in Budapest leave a bit to be desired... but guys, the girls in Budapest are being snapped up by modelling agencies across the world.
  • Munich, Germany: Many would recommend the techno-scene in Berlin as the place to go in Germany however; Munich is also a great destination. There are a huge amount of students, both foreign and local based in Munich which means the clubscene is very lively. The parties in Munich often start with a pub-crawl, after which everyone goes to very late-night dance clubs where likeminded people get together to welcome the night in. One of the most famous nightclubs is Prinzregentenstrabe 1 (P1 for short). Munich can be a little daunting if you have never been there before, it’s always good to spend the first couple of days with a local but after that, you are away!
  • Florence, Italy: The sunrise in Florence is amazing! What a great city in which to party. Thousands of travelling students flock to Florence where they join Florence’s huge population of local students. This means that Florence is full of young people who are up for having a great time. Wine is cheap, like really cheap and the clubs open till late. The best nightlife is probably located in the Oltrarno, south of the Arno River and in the Piazza della Signoria. I recommend not going to a club until quite late though (about 2am), and to amass a large crowd of people and going bar-hopping before.
